Closet Cleaning

A couple of months after I moved back to Austin, I got a postcard from a friend who was visiting her mother in Kansas and helping her clean out closets. My friend came across two vintage postcards from the Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and one from Kansas City.

Because my family is from Excelsior Springs originally, my friend mailed the postcards to me …
