12. Stray Cats ‘Blast Off’

Blast Off isn’t even my favorite Stray Cats record, but it’s the one I happened to grab and throw on the turntable Saturday. This was the first band I saw without parents in tow, back in the mid-’80s. My cousin Chris and I saw them play at Worlds of Fun, and amusement park in Kansas City. Decades later, I’d find myself in Minneapolis for Brian Setzer’s 50th birthday show. This band will always hold a special place in my heart.
